TRAILBLAZING LEADERSHIP

The 2025 WIN WIN Prize Cube was crafted by designer Emeli Höcks, who has created the annual trophy since 2023. Known for her work at the intersection of ecology and circular thinking, Höcks took this year's theme Trailblazing Leadership as her starting point.

The material is as considered as it is unexpected: charcoal mixed with compost soil with grey pea seeds cast into the core. The inspiration comes from terra preta, the dark earth created by indigenous peoples in the Amazon more than a thousand years ago, combining charcoal with organic matter to produce a soil that does not deplete but grows richer over time.

Should the Prize Cube one day be placed in the ground, the material will naturally decompose and the seeds can begin to grow. Local and global meet in a single object, and the prize becomes regenerative in the truest sense of the word.
