The Swedish publishing house Fri Tanke is the theme partner for WIN WIN Award 2023, working together to disseminate  knowledge about the implications of disinformation on a sustainable society.

The WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award is happy to announce that the theme partner for 2023 is Fri Tanke. Fri Tanke is a leading forum for scientific, philosophical, social and existential ideas. Fri Tanke was founded in 2007 with the ambition to translate high quality popular science titles to Swedish and make them accessible for a wide audience. The founders were Christer Sturmark, author & publisher, and Björn Ulvaeus, musician and former member of ABBA.

"A healthy democracy requires citizens to make free and informed choices. If the public discourse is clouded by disinformation, we risk making decisions based on false pretences. That is why the fight against disinformation is so important. The WIN WIN Award's theme for this year is right on time, and it is a pleasure to be the theme partner of 2023.”, says Christer Sturmark, author, book publisher and CEO of Fri Tanke.

In addition to being a publishing house, Fri Tanke has a popular podcast and hosts physical events with well-known authors and thinkers such as Steven Pinker, Mikael Pollan and Jane Goodall.

"We are delighted to be collaborating with Fri Tanke for 2023. Through their publications, they offer a versatile coverage of the most pressing, contemporary issues. They create spaces for intellectual conversation that are accessible to a larger audience in a most impressive way.", says Lovisa Ralpher, Project and communications manager at WIN WIN Award.

WIN WIN Award and Fri Tanke will collaborate on several activities and events throughout the year.
