During the week of 17-21 October, the winners of WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award will spend their time in Gothenburg and around Västra Götaland region to present their initiatives in different arenas and exchange experiences with local actors.

17 OCT MONDAY

17:30 INAUGRATION OF THE SUSTAINABILITY FESTIVAL VGR

HAVETS HUS, LYSEKIL

The winners of WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award inaugurates the Sustainability Festival VGR at the public aquarium Havets Hus. The festival is self-organising with exhibitors from all Västra Götaland Region. Read more on their website.


18 OCT TUESDAY

12:00 LUNCH LECTURE AT AP2, GOTHENBURG

Gårdsfisk and Sara Gutierrez Plata, winners of WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award will present their work and experience of working with sustainable aquaculture in Sweden and Mexico for the employees at Andra AP-Fonden (AP2). AP2 is a dedicated partner to the WIN WIN Award.

THE SWEDISH EXHIBITION & CONGRESS CENTRE, GOTHENBURG

Welcome to the Nordic Food Industry's stage where Johan Ljungqvist, founder of Gårdsfisk will share their story towards creating the world's most sustainable fish. 19 OCT WEDNESDAY

08:00-16:00 EXCURSION TO THE KRISTINEBERG CENTER FOR MARINE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION

The WIN WIN theme partner 2022, SWEMARC, has invited award winners, jury and participating chefs in the Catch of the Week contest to an excursion to the Kristineberg Center for Marine Research and Innovation who conduct many inspiring types of maritime projects. Some include developing new materials and foods from the sea, while others deal with the climate’s impact on marine life and include both underwater robots and digital technologies.


20 OCT THURSDAY

12:00 LUNCH LECTURE AT THE CITY LIBRARY GÖTAPLATSEN, GOTHENBURG

Johan Ljungqvist, founder of Gårdsfisk, and Aquaculture researcher Sara Gutierrez Plata will share their experiences and lessons about aquaculture with us, showing that sustainability within the field is viable! The lecture is a part of the Sustainability Festival VGR. Free entrance!


17:00 INSPIRATIONAL TALK

UNIVERSEUM

Together with Universeum, we invite our partners and staff for an inspirational talk about the future for aquaculture and visions ahead with our two award winners. The two winners embody two aspects of sustainable aquaculture: how to create more nutritious and sustainable food for a growing population, and how humans and nature can work together in a win win-partnership to solve both ecological, social, and economic issues.

18:00 OFFICAL DINNER

As one of the main financiers, Region Västra Götaland is the host of this year’s official dinner where the board, jury and partners meet to celebrate our prominent award winners!

17:30 AWARD NIGHT

The annual award night takes place in the heart of Gothenburg to celebrate outstanding contributions in the field of Sustainable Aquaculture. Except for much anticipated presentations by our winners, the award ceremony will present inspirational speeches, synergetic meeting opportunities, art & music experiences of foremostinternational renown and fantastic cuisine of sustainable, local produce to the very highest degree possible.
