VASAKRONAN NEW PARTNER TO THE WIN WIN AWARD

Sweden’s largest property company joins as the sixteenth partner, bringing experience from circular construction and urban development to the WIN WIN network.

Vasakronan, which owns, develops and manages office and retail properties in Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg and Malmö, is now a partner of the WIN WIN Award. In Gothenburg, the company is shaping the area around Lilla Bommen, where Läppstiftet and Platinan are being joined by Kaj 16, a new development with a strong focus on reuse.

“Vasakronan has been working on sustainability issues for a long time, leading the way in our industry and demonstrating that it is possible to keep pushing the boundaries. However, we are far from finished. Our vision is to create future-proof cities for everyone, where people and companies thrive. To achieve this, we need to challenge ourselves and take the next step. Through our collaboration with the WIN WIN Award, we hope to share our experience while also gaining new perspectives,” says Kristina Pettersson Post, Head of Customer and Sales Gothenburg at Vasakronan.

For WIN WIN, the partnership brings a voice from a sector that has a direct hand in how cities grow and how people will live and work in them for decades to come.

“As Gothenburg continues to grow, Vasakronan plays a key role in shaping the spaces where we will live and work for a long time to come. Their pioneering work in circular construction and large-scale material reuse demonstrates how the property sector can truly take the lead in the global climate transition. This makes them a valuable voice in the conversations we wish to foster, and we very much look forward to developing our partnership together,” says Sara Larsson, Executive Director of the WIN WIN Award.

WIN WIN Award is a non-profit organisation funded through partnerships with the public sector, academia and business. As a partner, organisations help bring visibility to the actors and solutions at the forefront of the sustainability transition.

Through knowledge exchange and networking around the prize, partners gain the opportunity to engage and develop their employees, while also creating an arena where the three sectors can collaborate and learn from one another, a collaboration that becomes ever more important as the pace of transition needs to accelerate.
