THEME 2027 - RE:ECONOMY
The WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award 2027 will recognise leaders steering economies towards human wellbeing within the planetary boundaries. Nominations are open until 10 January 2027.
The WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award 2027 will recognise leaders who are reshaping how our economies create and share value. The theme, Re:economy, is about an economic system for human wellbeing within the planetary boundaries, and nominations are open until 10 January 2027.
The economic system we live with today grew out of a worldview that treats nature as limitless, always ready to provide more. Without the right rules and incentives, sustainable alternatives compete on uneven terms with actors who benefit from taking more than they give back, whether to nature, to human wellbeing or to future generations.
Much of this is structural. Short-term thinking is built into how capital is invested, how businesses are evaluated and how political decisions are made. Success is measured by what is easiest to count rather than by what matters most, and long-term value is systematically underpriced.
Yet something new is emerging. Around the world, leaders are showing that a different way of thinking about the economy is not only needed but already under way. Business models are being developed that create value without depleting nature or people.
Capital is beginning to flow towards healthy ecosystems and strong communities rather than away from them. Policymakers are changing the rules so that sustainable choices become the easier and more competitive option, and fresh narratives about what a good life within the planetary boundaries can look like are widening the space of what is possible.
The WIN WIN Award and WIN WIN Youth Award 2027 welcome nominations of individuals and organisations driving this shift, through business model innovation, new financial flows, policy reform or new narratives, and steering economies towards what truly matters: enabling people, communities and nature to thrive, now and in the future.
Anyone can nominate.
The WIN WIN Award carries a prize of SEK 1 million, and the WIN WIN Youth Award, for changemakers aged 13 to 29, carries a prize of SEK 100,000.
Laureates are selected through an open nomination process and an independent jury. Nominations close on 10 January 2027.
