On stage:
  • Domingo Peas, an Indigenous leader from Ecuador, is this year’s recipient of the WIN WIN Award. He is the chair of the Amazon Sacred Headwaters Alliance and has united 30 Indigenous nations to protect 35 million hectares of rainforest—an area as large as Germany. With an inclusive leadership philosophy characterized by active listening, consensus-building, and decisive action for the common good, Domingo makes decisions with consideration for the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, as well as their long-term impact on future generations.

  • Juan Pierre is young global changemaker from Mauritius and this year's recipient of the WIN WIN Youth Award. Only 20 years old, he has collaborated with organizations such as the World Bank and UNICEF, and led a national consultation for the Ministry of Finance in Mauritius that engaged 13,500 young people, resulting in real policy changes and 900 million MUR in funding for youth sustainability projects. Recognising that true representation demands collective voices, he has effectively connected youth with decision-makers, ensuring that young voices are meaningfully included in shaping the policies that define our shared future.

  • Wakanyi Hoffman is an indigenous scholar, public intellectual, board member of the Inner development goals. In her work, she explore how African Indigenous wisdom can shape ethical creation for emerging technologies. At Utrecht University’s Inclusive AI Lab, she leads initiatives that integrate Ubuntu philosophy into the design of responsible, sustainable AI systems. As an expert in African Indigenous Knowledge Systems and responsible AI, she brings valuable insights on integrating traditional wisdom with modern challenges.

  • Madeleine Jonsson (MP), Chair of the Committee for Environment and Regional Development in Region Västra Götaland

With a strong political focus on sustainability, innovation, and regional growth, she works to strengthen Västra Götaland’s position as a leading region in the green transition.

  • Moderator: Johan Holmén, Senior Lecturer in Sustainability Transformation at Högskolan Väst and expert advisor to the WIN WIN Youth Award 2025. His research explores the intersection of complex societal challenges, sustainability transitions and transformations, navigational governance, and social learning systems.

Hosted in collaboration with Business Region Göteborg and sets the tone for a week of events with this year’s laureates and partners.

The event will be conducted in English.
